Hey! So Candace has been busy but I really wanted to get a blog post up....so I am going to do my best :P
Lots has happened in the last couple months! Candace got a new job which is the reason she has been so busy. Its also made it a little difficult to book studio time! She working 8-4 then I work 3-9. New album is coming along but slowly.
We have had time to fit in a few gigs tho. October we had a last minute booking for the 3rd Local Lilith fair at Hooliganz pub. We had a late set but still a great turn out and ALOT of fun.
November proved to be an eventful month starting with our close friends fundraiser event for he son.
We had the honor of playing a set for that which was held in a small town called Compeer, Ab. Great food and great friends is was a delightful evening.
The weekend of the 16th we kicked off Christmas and welcomed Santa with ID VIP Team and the 12 songs of Christmas at Londonderry Mall! Candace's little girl came to see Santa although was distracted with dancing to all the christmas songs from our ID VIP Team friends Bryan Lenz and Ashley Weir. Unfortunately we had to leave our little dancer at home Saturday when we played at Chicago Joe's downtown....also missed out on the yummy delicious pizza...mmmm that was good pizza!
Candace left me the following weekend ( I believe I'm developing some abandonment issues) to perform at a Christmas event by myself, she was too sick to sing...unfortunately I only know one verse to What Child is this? so did a lovely instrumental for the rest of that song and I had to see both parts of our medley God rest ye merry gentlemen/We three Kings which proved confusing ony at the end where we sing both songs at the same time.... All in all it was a success and i enjoyed hearing Byan Lenz and his Christmas songs and the lovely Olivia Wik who wrote an original Christmas song
for the series.
We have quite a few more 12 songs of Christmas shows this month of December with ID VIP Team. Soon Candace and I are planning a youtube video of our Chirstmas songs so you can hear them too!
Hopefully you enjoy reading my post and now you know what we have been up too!
Cheers,
Karli
